On April 1, 2013, I wore a smile on my face, but I was not happy with the way I looked. I was determined to change the way I felt and looked. I chose T. J. McCord as my trainer. We started out slow, because I was so overweight. I was a size 20 and would soon turn forty-nine. My goal was to get healthy. Working with Mr. McCord changed my life. He knew exactly what to do to help me reach my goals and put me on a path to healthy living and feeling my best. I followed his food plans and we worked out 3 times a week. Before I knew it, I started to feel younger. Everyone noticed the change in me. Within 3 months, I was at my best weight in 15 years. I started running and loved to exercise daily. I did a walk/run for 5 miles a day just because I loved the person I had become. I thank Mr. McCord every day for changing my life for the better.

I started my journey with T. J. McCord five months ago. I must honestly say that it has not been easy. I have struggled with my weight for five years, after I had my son. It amazes me that you can put on the pounds so fast, but it takes really a year or more for most people to reach their goal. I am not at my goal, but I am down 14 pounds, mostly belly fat. I plan to continue my journey with T.J. McCord until I get down to my ideal weight. I wanted to take this time to thank him for helping me get my weight under control.Tangie After Pic

After having another child, I felt like I was never going to lose my post baby weight. No matter what I did, I never saw any results until I hired T. J. as my personal trainer. I knew I needed guidance to get fit, and I needed someone to push me and motivate me to reach my goal. T. J. guided me through all of that. He gave me a meal plan, and when I realized that I needed to make big changes in my eating habits, I wasn’t sure I could do it. T. J. gave me the energy and courage to keep going. I gave up sodas first, then fried foods, next sweets ,I gave myself one cheat day a week. After about a month of working out and struggling to eat right, I finally realized getting fit was 80% nutrition and 20% exercise. By month three, my body felt cleaner, I had more energy, and I didn’t need that cheat day. After four months into the process, I really  started to see my hard work paying off. I am still a work in progress. It takes hard work and dedication to achieve your goals, but it is doable. Remember the 80/20 rule: 80% nutrition and 20% exercise!20141010_205618

I met TJ several months ago at Anytime Fitness, where I currently have a membership. I had struggled with getting a flatter stomach despite my commitment to come to the gym regularly. I was becoming frustrated with my workout routine and felt overwhelmed by the massive amount of conflicting fitness advice that I’d gathered from the Internet. I was ready to give up. I was impressed by the fitness classes I saw TJ instructing at the gym; he was motivating and enthusiastic. When I approached TJ about my fitness goals, he was friendly and genuine. He listened and assured me he could help me achieve them. He customized a fitness routine and workout plan for me, and in 4 weeks, I saw results! I’m so glad I didn’t give up. TJ is an excellent trainer and partner and took me to the next step in my fitness. I am delighted! Thanks TJ for your expertise!

Marisa Harris

At the closing of 2011, Marisa realized that her weight had spiraled out of control. Marisa is 5’2” and weighed 189 pounds. Embarrassed, Marisa knew something had to be done. She tried several workout routines and diets, some successful and some not. Over the course of a year, Marisa reduced her weight by 20 pounds, but after a lifestyle change, she fell back into the trap of unhealthy living. Marisa began working out with T.J. in January of 2013. They agreed on goals and deadlines, and together they worked to achieve them. Marisa joined T.J. when he began the BodybyVi 90-day challenge. Successfully completing the challenge, she had reached her goal. Despite many obstacles, Marisa continues to make healthy choices and incorporate exercise into her life. Marisa’s advise to others: Set realistic goals for yourself and achieve them. Don’t be afraid to fail, because if you don’t try you have already failed. If you fall off the plan, don’t make it permanent.

During undergraduate school, I managed not gain the “Freshman 15”. It was a different when I moved to Houston, Texas for graduate school. Over two years I gained 15 pounds and many may say that’s not a lot but for my body frame it was too much. The summer of 2013 I enlisted the help of TJ to help me get my body back. He put me on a meal plan and gave me personalized workouts that would jump start my weight lost. Although I ended up joining another gym to continue my journey, it was the help of TJ that got me back on track. A year later I have lost the 15 pounds I had gained. I thank TJ for helping me get started.
